Honestly? It started with procrastination.
Before The Rho Studio was a thing, I was blogging on WordPress. I loved it — but if I'm being honest, my favourite part wasn't the writing. It was changing my theme. Tweaking the layout. Making the website look just right. I'd spend hours on it and call it "working on my blog" when really I was just having the time of my life making things look good.
At some point, I started wondering — could I actually make a living doing this? Would people pay me to just make their websites look nice?
Turns out, yes. They would. So I decided to try it.
That's the whole origin story. No dramatic pivot, no big lightbulb moment — just a girl who loved fiddling with websites and eventually figured out she could turn that into something real.
Here's the thing nobody tells you until you're knee-deep in it:
There is so much that goes into running a website that you never think about when you're just visiting one.
The spacing. The font size. Should comments be enabled? What colour is that button — is it readable? Why is the text so small on mobile? Someone is spamming your contact form, and you have no idea what to do about it. You've changed your hero image four times today, and it still doesn't feel right.
It's a lot of decision-making and mental energy — and that's before you've even thought about your actual business.
I understand that not everyone wants to deal with all of that. Especially when you're running a business, serving clients, and doing a hundred other things that actually move the needle. Your time and energy are worth too much to spend them wrestling with spacing and colour codes.
That's exactly why I built a process that takes all of it off your plate — so you can get back to the work that actually matters to you.
What The Rho Studio is — and how it works.
The Rho Studio is a Squarespace web design studio built specifically for service-based businesses. I work with coaches, creatives, wellness practitioners, therapists, and service providers who are ready to hand off their website to someone who genuinely knows what they're doing.
Every project is built on one of my signature base designs and tailored entirely to your business — your branding, your content, your audience. The base design is the starting point, not the finish line.
I work with one client at a time. That means when you're in, you really are the only one — no divided attention, no waiting around, no feeling like you're just another project in the queue.
Every project is designed exclusively on Squarespace — because I believe a website you can't manage yourself isn't really yours. By the end of our project, you'll know how to update your own site without calling a developer every time something needs changing.
A few things I genuinely care about.
-
That's true for my clients and it's true for me. I don't like wasting time — mine or yours. My process is designed to be efficient, clear, and as smooth as possible so neither of us is spending energy we don't need to.
-
When a project wraps and the site goes live, I want you to feel like this was the best decision you've made for your business.
Not just "it looks nice" — but genuine, exhale-out-loud relief that it's done, it's good, and it was worth it.
-
I started this studio because it's a service that genuinely helps people — in their businesses and in their lives. That matters to me. Not in a lofty way, just in a real, everyday way. I show up, I do good work, and I care about the outcome for the person I'm working with.
When I'm not designing websites.
I'm a mama of four, which means my life is beautifully full and my time is precious. When I'm not working, I'm with my family and friends, and I wouldn't have it any other way.
It's one of the reasons I care so much about doing work that gives me options — and why I want the same for the women I work with. A great website isn't just a nice thing to have. For a lot of my clients, it's how they get their time back, attract better-fit clients, and build something that actually works for them.
That's what I'm here to help with.
If any of this resonated — I'd love to hear from you.
