Website materials are the pieces needed to develop your site, such as your written content, images, links, brand elements, and key business information.
Copy refers to the written words on your website — including headlines, service descriptions, about-page content, and calls to action.
Brand photography refers to the images that visually represent your business, such as portraits, workspace photos, behind-the-scenes images, or other professional visuals.
Your website does not need to rely entirely on brand photography. Stock imagery can absolutely be used, either on its own or alongside personal images.
In most cases, we simply recommend having at least a few clear photos of you so the site feels more personal, credible, and connected to your business.
-
No. You do not need to have everything ready before applying. The preparation phase is there to help you get organized, clarify your content, and prepare everything needed for a smooth design phase. As long as your business and offers are established, some details can still be finalized during prep.
-
Before your design and development week, you’ll move through a guided preparation phase so everything is clear and ready for production. This typically includes your website copy, brand images or selected stock photos, key links, business details, and any content needed for your pages. You do not need to have everything perfectly finalized before applying — the prep phase is designed to help you get there.
-
No. Brand photography is not required. Stock imagery can absolutely be used, and we can guide that direction during prep. However, for most service-based businesses, having at least a few strong photos of you is highly recommended. It helps your website feel more personal, trustworthy, and connected to the experience you offer.
-
Once your project is officially booked, the preparation phase typically takes 2–4 weeks. After that, your website is designed and developed in one focused week, with launch targeted for late Friday afternoon. For projects with a larger site structure, an extended scope may be recommended.
-
Yes. We can absolutely work with your existing brand and website as long as the project is a fit for the Studio Intensive model. The goal is not always to start from scratch — often it is to refine, restructure, and elevate what is already there into a more cohesive, strategic online presence.
All Studio Intensives are designed on Squarespace, so if your current site is on another platform, you would need to be open to moving to Squarespace for this project.
-
You’ll receive a walkthrough of your finished site so you can confidently manage it after handoff, along with 7 days of post-launch support for final questions and small refinements.
-
Yes — payment plans are available. Most clients choose either to pay in full or through a simple split-payment option. If you need a more individualized arrangement, we can discuss what makes sense before booking.
-
First, you’ll need to submit an application. If your project is accepted, the next steps are signing your contract, paying the required deposit, and selecting your start date. From there, you’ll move into the preparation phase, where your website content, visuals, and key details are finalized before design begins. This process works best for clients who are ready to prepare well and meet the required deadlines. Please note: the remaining balance is due 5 days before your project start date.
